Ayrshire College
students participated
in an exciting event
at Dumfries House in
September, to promote
Ayrshire produce in the
year of food and drink.
Seven teams of college
student chefs – supported by
hospitality staff and students
– participated in a ‘Cook off
Challenge’ in the afternoon,
after secondary schools
performed the same task in
the morning.
Students were tasked with
delivering a three course meal
in an hour, with ingredients
sourced from stalls set up in
the hall by local producers.
