PrimeTel ’ s dedicated and professional R & D team consists of over 25 blue-chip Java , Pearl C ++ and . NET programmers with expertise in multidisciplinary domains .
This allows for the team to undertake large technological projects such as the Twister Triple Play platform , that is used to provide IPTV / Telephony / Internet services to over thousands of PrimeTel ’ s network customers in Cyprus .
The platform has been developing since 2004 and has become a mature product , satisfying the strict requirements of the telecom business .
Other in-house projects developed by the team include an advanced IVR / SMS / MMS platform , WiFi hotspot controller software , as well as a traffic shaping and caching solution with deep packet inspection .
On a European level , PrimeTel ’ s R & D team actively participates in various programmes such as the Seventh Framework Programme , Celtic and Eurostars .
These programmes focus on projects that deal with electronic communications , Triple Play , IPTV applications , IP Multimedia Subsystem , fibre optics , wireless systems , mobile networks , fixed tomobile convergence , QoS , eHealth , eLearning and eGoverment .
