2016 FALL DINING GUIDE
right red and yellow have replaced
luscious green on the tree branches.
The cool air has replaced hot and
humid – sweaters are now being
donned and tees are back in the attic.
It’s fall. For foodies, this is a very exciting time of
year. Restaurants begin rolling out their pumpkin
and apple-infused desserts, tailgaters put their
amateur culinary chops to the test and home
cooks head to farmers’ markets and local farms
for the freshest fall produce to add some color to
their family dinners.
Fall Dining Guide will tell you exactly what
is so special about autumn in Bergen County’s
culinary circles. We’ll go pumpkin and apple
picking at the few remaining family farms in
Bergen County. We’ll head to the farmers’ market
to pick up some homemade maple syrup, a cider
doughnout or two and possibly some squash for a
warm soup one night.
Fall is also the time for celebration, from the
spookiness of Halloween to the gratefulness on
Thanksgiving, there’s always an excuse to do some
entertaining. We’ll show you how fall entertaining
is done right. Sometimes you need to go outside
the box. Ever carve a watermelon instead of a
pumpkin? We’re talking that kind of take-it-tothe-next-level entertaining.
We’ll talk tailgating, eat our veggies, make
some ice cream desserts and find out what has
been going on with all things food in Bergen
County this past year. Bon Appétit! ◆
