2016 FALL DINING GUIDE
The amazing
allure of fall fare
In autumn, farm-fresh takes on a whole new meaning
WRITTEN BY MICHAEL LAMENDOLA
T
he splendors of fall are annually plentiful
and a welcoming respite to the sultry,
activity-packed months of summer. The
leaves turning create a masterful landscape that any can appreciate. The
cooler air is a welcome relief from the hot and
humid months just endured. But most of all, the

crisp juicy apples, luscious pears, pumpkins in all
sizes, concord grapes, colorful flower bouquets,
and loads of collards, kale, cranberries, squash in
all varieties, plump eggplants and so much more.
Visitors to the market know to follow the seasons
for fresh and local produce and a snap of frost
only heightens flavors.”

fall-oriented events through October. An Apple
Festival kicks off Sept. 25 and this year’s first
Garlic Festival took place Oct. 9. On Oct. 23,

with their new pumpkin, but usually with plenty of farm-fresh food from the market as well.
