One of the top state parks in America based on fishing, boating and family fun. El Dorado State Park is conveniently located at the edge of the Flint Hills near three state highways and the Kansas Turnpike. With about 2,000 acres of park and 4,000 acres of wildlife area surrounding 8,000 acres of water with 98 miles of shoreline, there are plenty of opportunities to explore this premier lake destination. Historically designated, our downtown boasts vibrant colors with beautiful flowers throughout the warmer months, flags that drape both sides of the street, often time relating to what holiday is approaching and quaint shops that make you feel right at home! Find fresh fudge and fine chocolates, homemade sandwiches, the perfect cup of coffee, taste a sip of a local brew or look for that unique item that you won't find anywhere else. El Dorado is the place to be.
