G r i t & Glamour
BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina recognizes that the arts help create thriving and dynamic
communities which in turn contribute to South Carolina’s economic development. That recognition
is culture-wide, and the employees play a significant role in supporting the South Carolina arts
community. BlueCross and its employees clearly demonstrate their strong commitment to the arts
through gifts and employee involvement programs.
The BCA TEN awards were presented on November 4, 2010, at a black-tie gala at the Central Park
Boathouse in New York City. There to celebrate were (pictured above, left to right): Bruce Hughes;
M. Edward Sellers and Dr. Suzan D. Boyd; Robert Lynch, CEO of Americans for the Arts; Karen Brosius,
executive director of the Columbia Museum of Art and husband Willson Powell; Jennifer DuMont
and David Pankau.

BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina was named one of THE BCA TEN: Best Companies Supporting
the Arts in America by the Business Committee for the Arts, a division of Americans for the Arts in
November of 2010.

Craft Celebration
Premier Society members and museum supporters attend the Craft Leadership Award Dinner &
Celebration, held on Wednesday, September 29, 2010. The Museum celebrated Hannah and Ron
Rogers for their many accomplishments and for a
