Kit Porter joined the Columbia Museum of Art
staff in February 2012 as our new Development
Manager. She moved to Columbia from
Charleston, South Carolina, where for five and a
half years she was the director of contemporary
art gallery, Martin Gallery. Development
work is a natural fit for Kit’s personality and
interests. As an artist and arts enthusiast, she
is passionate about the Museum’s mission
to educate, inspire and enrich lives through
art, and is thrilled to be working for this
organization. Kit Porter received her B.A. in
Studio Art from Sewanee: The University of the
South, in Tennessee.
