The work, “Divide Light” follows a dramatic and emotional contour, exploring a range of emotions from joy, ecstasy and fear, to vulnerability and exhilaration. $7 / free for members. Made at the height of the martial arts craze in 1920s Shanghai, this lively tale about the rise of a woman warrior features the genre’s characteristic blend of pulp and mystical derring-do. Boston’s Devil Music Ensemble is comprised of classically trained musicians, Tim Nylander (drums, percussion and analog synthesizer), Brendon Wood (guitars, lap steel and synthesizer) and Jonah Rapino (electric violin, vibraphone and synthesizer), who produce a truly unique sound to accompany the silent ?lm.
