Prepare your Android
Smartphone
If you’ve just got an Android Smartphone
or own one already, this article’s for you.
Misplacing,
losing,
and
theft
of
Smartphones is rising, so implementing
some various protection methods can
make the pain of losing a Smartphone less
traumatic.
Waxing I Tinting I Microdermabrasion
Shellac I Spray Tans I Manicures
Pedicures I Facials
Physical damage is the easiest thing to
protect your Smartphone against, so I
highly recommend a quality cover case.

You can physically prevent someone
from accessing your phone by increasing
the security of your phone. I recommend
enabling a PIN, Pattern, Password or Face
Unlock on your phone. I prefer PIN, and
these can be implemented on nearly all
Mobile Computing Devices (iPhone, iPad,
Android, Windows Phone). To create:
Settings > Security > Screen Lock, and set
up your security.
Configure Automatic Backups via a
Google Gmail account when setting up
your phone. Go to: Settings > Accounts &
sync > Google > Accounts. Here is where
you enter your Google account, and see
what is being backed up automatically via
auto-syncing. This is highly recommended
and can save you loads of time, especially
with your Contacts and Calendar.
Your photos can also be backed up
automatically, but aren’t by default,
and some data is never backed up
automatically. Downloading and installing
Microsoft’s OneDrive or Dropbox app on
your Smartphone is highly recommended
as the ‘Camera Roll/Uploads’ feature on
both these apps will automatically save
and upload all your photos and videos to
the cloud.
