RELIABLY HERITAGE Windowtech in Romford, Essex, has been manufacturing uPVC windows, doors and conservatories and supplying to the trade for 22 years. The company is well established and has a good reputation for a reliable service and quality products, predominantly in the Duraflex system but it has more recently introduced Residence 9 to its range as well. “Windowtech has been fabricating Residence 9 for about a year now. In recent months the new range has really found its feet as more people are becoming switched on to uPVC as an authentic looking alternative to traditional timber sashes. So much so, in fact, that we have recently opened showroom exclusively dedicated to Residence 9,” explains Sales and Marketing Manager, Harry Wallis. Up till now Windowtech’s customer base has been more regional but with the introduction of Residence 9, such is the demand that the company is now taking on contracts further afield and has supplied jobs in Hertfordshire, London and Hastings. “Key to its appeal for the end user,” says Harry, “Is that it replicates the aesthetics of timber. What’s more, when triple glazed it can achieve a U-Values of 0.8 W/M2K. It has a completely mechanically jointed flush sash that is entirely handcrafted by us. This means it can be quite time consuming to make but the quality is of a very high standard.” The profile extruder behind Residence 9, Eclectic Systems, has a patent on the system’s fully mechanically joints, including the sashes, which means it is unique and inimitable, something Windowtech’s trade customers find reassuring, says Harry. “This is a high end product that opens up a very discerning market to our trade customers, where margin prevails over volume. ‘a high end product’ “In addition to the high quality of our handcrafted products Windowtech also promises good customer service and reliability throughout, as well a fair prices. We would encourage potential customers to come and visit our showroom and see for themselves,” Harry concludes.
