MACHINERY ALIFAST CHOOSES EMMEGI AS ITS MACHINERY PARTNER As a start-up aluminium fabrication business, Liverpoolbased Alifast invested more than £125,000 in Emmegi machinery at the end of 2012 to help it build a reputation for quality products. Now the company is already producing around 200 frames per week and is liaising with Emmegi to buy additional machinery to enable expansion. MD Craig Edwards said that he was delighted to have found a machinery partner which shared his own company’s values of quality and customer service. He said: “The Emmegi machinery we’ve had installed is technically highly advanced and has helped us to combine quality manufacturing with valuable efficiency. “Also, the team at Emmegi have delivered the very best and most reliable customer care from the start, helping us to choose the right solution at the outset and then providing phenomenal after sales support, plus comprehensive training to our team. They have continued to respond quickly to any queries we have, sending an engineer within 24 hours to resolve any technical issues. “We needed a machinery partner which could understand and support our objectives and Emmegi proved the perfect choice.” www.emmegi.com, www.alifast.co.uk DICKIES SAFETY BOOTS GIVEAWAY To enter, fill out the below form and fax to 01226 730825 or post to Dickies Comp, Clearview Group Limited, Unit 2-3 Burleigh Court, Burleigh Street, Barnsley, S70 1XY. Dickies, the internationally renowned workwear brand, has introduced 14 new styles of safety footwear and improved a further six styles for 2014. New lines in PU/Rubber Sole have excellent shock absorption and are heat resistant to 300 degrees; they are high slip resistant and have non clogging sole patterns; extra comfort is offered with moisture wicking lining and a removable footbed. Safety footwear standard EN345 has been superseded by EN ISO 20345 and the whole Dickies footwear range has been re-certified to the new standard EN ISO 20345:2011. Over the past couple of years the main trend has been for safety footwear to become lighter in weight and mo re fashionable, which really started with the use of injected PU sole units. The introduction of composite toecaps and composite material mid-plates has accelerated this demand. Other market requirements which we have noticed are the need for the upper profile of safety footwear to be lower. The problem with the design of safety footwear is that these styles need a toecap, which creates a more rounded shape to the upper, but the trend nowadays is for safety footwear to look less like an item of safety footwear. Part of the solution is to reduce the shape of the upper profile by applying it lower into the sole unit. This allows for a lower profile footwear style. Dickies supply a wide range of industrial workwear, safety clothing and equipment, including protective hats, gloves, kneepads, overalls, and jackets as well as a wide range of footwear and traditional work clothes. You can be assured you are in safe hands with Dickies industry strength products. For more information on Dickies, please visit www.dickiesworkwear.com. To read more, visit www.clearview-uk.com
