SYNSEAL’S NEW PREMIUM GLOBAL
ALUMINIUM ROOF DESIGN
Following successful trial
installations in both hot and
cold climate export climates,
Synseal has now introduced a
premium quality aluminium
conservatory roof for UK market
applications.
Global Plus is a new design
option featuring aluminium
componentry for all external
roofing parts with the exception of
guttering and associated downpipes,
which employs the proven PVC
system as used with Global roof to
align with standard conservatory
installation practice in the UK.
For export project applications,
a bespoke aluminium guttering
system is always supplied to satisfy
premium continental market
demand for a roof completely
manufactured in aluminium.
New aluminium finial and
cresting designs add character to the
Global Plus offering, which stands
alongside the K2 aluminium roof
to provide a choice of precisionengineered Synseal aluminium
conservatory roof solutions.
Global Plus aluminium external
components include rafter and
ridge top caps and end caps, radius
ends and muntin bars, available
‘designs add
character to the
Global Plus offering’
from stock in White, Brown and
Caramel polyester powder finishes
as well as Mill finish, for coating
in a RAL colour according to
specification. Global Plus rafter
top cappings can also be supplied
in one of Synseal’s woodgrain foil
finishes.
TUFFX LAUNCHES DYNAMIC NEW
ROOFING OPTION
When the Government introduced new
*Building Regulations in 2010 for the
conservatory sector, the TuffX R&D team
began to research how this would help
grow the market and has now created the
ecoRoof Panel, working to the new industry
guidelines.
Engineered from a solid, high performance
but lightweight insulation core within a
double layer of co-extruded material, this
new roofing product is a viable, cost-effective
alternative to polycarbonate that is versatile
and ideal for replacement conservatory roof
projects as well as partition walls, doors and
balcony cladding, being quick and easy to
install. Available in 3m x 2m sheets these
can be cut to size and tailored for individual
installations then delivered nationwide via the
Tuffx fleet.
Manufactured in three external colours of
white (RAL 9016), slate grey (RAL 7016) and
wood brown (RAL 8017) this new option is
available in 24mm and 16mm thicknesses.
The roof panels provide a u-value of 0.99W/

NEC Solutions: Liniar Zoom ‘head and
shoulders above the competition’
North East Conservatory Solutions (NECS)
supplies bespoke conservatory roofs to
window manufacturers and installers in
North East England. Owner Andy Kerr,
a former conservatory installer with
experience of several conservatory roof
brands, chose the Liniar Zoom conservatory
roof because of its many benefits and is
delighted with the results.
“The Zoom system is easy to use, compared
to other brands,” explains Andy. “We noticed
a real difference with the speed of installation.
The patented Glazing Stop retainer is excellent
80
MAY 2014
and eliminates 100% of glazing slip – putting
the Liniar Zoom roof head and shoulders
above the competition, in my opinion.” Liniar
Zoom has unlimited design options, giving
homeowners exactly what they want. And
installers love Liniar Zoom too.
“Most window companies are taken by
surprise the first time they use it. For example,
there is only one ring beam and one ridge,
where most other systems have different parts
for different sections of the roof. Liniar Zoom
is fully on-site adjustable to give a strong,
problem-free fit, reducing the risk of callbacks.”
