FIT NAMES MADi AS SHOW’S
CHOSEN CHARITY
MADi Fundraising, A
special charity fund set
up by window and door
industry people, has been
chosen as the principal
charity for the FIT Show
2014.
Among other activities,
FIT has donated a special
stand for the charity to raise
awareness among visitors
and the show’s Gala Dinner
will host a fundraising
casino sponsored by
Solidor.
MADi was launched by
three Hope 66 riders, Solidor
Group MD Gareth Mobley,
Window Widgets owner Dan
Gil and Universal Arches
MD Leon Day, after Dan’s
youngest daughter Maddie
was diagnosed with bone
marrow failure shortly after
they returned from the charity
US cycle marathon.
Funds raised by MADi at
the event will be passed to
the Anthony Nolan Trust,
which supports bone marrow
and stem cell donations for
people with blood cancers
and similar disorders, and
other fund-raising events are
already planned for the near
future. You can learn more
about MADi Fundraising at
www.madifundraising.com or
Twitter @madifundraising.
The FIT team have also
chosen to back a second
charity, Life for Ella-Grace,
to help fund surgery
for a child with a rare
circulation disorder, www.

CARL F GROUPCO REPORTS ‘BRISK TRADE’
Designed ‘in the round’, Carl F
Groupco’s stand saw brisk trade with
visitors walking the course to view
the company’s extensive window,
door and patio hardware displays.
The company reports a good mix of
enquiries from both long-standing and
new customers.
Based on the success of the show
for Carl F Groupco, the company has
confirmed re-booking for the 2016
exhibition in the same stand location.
Video animation, full profiles and
sample boards gave a comprehensive
overview, with freshly baked cookies
being an added incentive to visit.
Working product features were
demonstrated, including the smoothness
of the Siegenia HS Portal 300 lift and
slide hardware gliding on its castors with
the push of just one finger.
Reporting a healthy upturn month
on month since March 2013, Carl F
Groupco announced 12.8% growth
over the last year and is confident
that the green shoots are set to
continue. Key factors influencing the
positive outlook for the company are
a company-wide commitment to 98%
next-day deliveries in time and in
full, plus investment in systems and
people including a technical support
service.

Deceuninck pulls the
crowds at the FIT Show
Deceuninck pulled in huge crowds
at this year’s FIT Show. Even when
the rest of the show was relatively
quiet, the company’s stand had
a constant stream of visitors as
people came to find out the answer
to the ‘Why Deceuninck’ question.
Deceuninck’s New Wave Slide &
Swing Door was a real star. Visitors
queued to see live demonstrations
of this next-generation multi-pane
patio door, and feedback was
fantastic.
Visitors were also keen to try out
PricePad, Deceuninck’s electronic
ordering and pricing programme that
makes it easier for installers to sell to
homeowners. Monorail, Colour360
and Deceuninck’s famous ‘pretty’
windows were other top attractions.
Deceuninck’s new ‘MyBrand’ also
attracted lots of attention. MyBrand is a
suite of new consumer brochures that
customers can tailor quickly and simply
with their own branding and content
to make it easier for installers to sell in
the home. The new MyBrand website is
coming soon!
Thanking everyone involved,
Deceuninck MD Roy Frost said: “The
FIT Show was a huge success for
Deceuninck - we’ll see you again in
2016!”
