BUSINESSNEWS Impressive £800m sales mark reached The staggering milestone comes after Somerset-based Network VEKA member, Turner Windows of Somerton Ltd registered an installation to take the organisation’s aggregated sales to more than £800m. Karen Lund of Network VEKA paid a visit to the installer member to present Craig with a bottle of champagne to mark the occasion. We know that our members are some of the most highly-trained, trustworthy companies in the country – and these sales figures are the proof of this. The growth of the Network has not come at the expense of our core focus on customer service excellence.” ‘A great achievement’ This was the 218,927th installation by members, since Network VEKA was formed in 1996. The CDW Systems group has posted record figures for turnover in the final quarter of the calendar year, with the flourishing commercial and domestic aluminium sector and improved economic conditions playing a part. Demand for the company’s products is so high CDW Systems has recently employed new personnel in logistics and fabrication; as well as appointing a new surveyor in our retail division. The good news coincides with the annual Insight Data Fabricator and Installer report that shows an increase in the number of fabricators now diversifying into manufacturing and supplying aluminium windows and doors; following increasing demand in both the commercial and domestic sector. But CDW Systems Managing Director Jerry Webb believes his company’s focus on one material has also been a crucial factor in the good trading figures. Jerry comments: “Manufacturing aluminium requires a completely different mind-set to PVCu. We often get asked how we’re doing so well during these testing times – and I believe this specialist approach and sole focus on aluminium, along with new product launches and commitment to innovation that has been key.” Call 01452 414853 or visit www.cdwsystems.co.uk THE LATEST ADDITION The Cornwall Glass & Glazing Group has extended its glass network and is proud to announce the recent acquisition of Opaletch, the decorative glass company.
