Indian summer for the window and door industry?
“I was recently asked to recruit a senior manager for the window and door industry in India, which is really exploding into life. It reminds me very much of how the industry started out over here many years ago, massive growth, no proper standards, and little real experience.
“The difference is that India is benefitting from the 30 years of system design and evolution, often painfully experienced in the UK; their market will start at a very advanced point technically speaking. It is interesting that many of the names so well known to us all have already seen the potential and have established a presence there. “It made me think about our own industry here in the UK; a mature market, but one where it seems there is still boundless energy, creativity and innovation, perfectly demonstrated by the mass enthusiasm for the FIT show which is now right upon us.
