Designed to be fitted on brick build columns or on K2’s proven structural aluminium portal frame posts, the Modena features an additional cantilevered perimeter beam to provide an external overhanging soffit, which can be fitted with downlighters. A substantial integrated aluminium gutter is 1200mm wide and faced with a modern design frieze and a 604mm deep internal plasterboarded soffit completes the installation, to create an impressive “double soffit” look. It is remarkably easy to install, supplied in a kit that requires no drilling or cutting of the aluminium sections and the sturdy gutters can be walked on to greatly simplify maintenance. Subject to size and loading limitations, the Modena also has the design capability to incorporate bifolding doors up to 6300mm in width. K2 can provide structural and heat loss calculations in addition to full technical drawings and technical support for the Modena kits, thus ensuring that both straightforward and ambitious projects may be undertaken with complete confidence.
