Liniar Zoom’s blog keeps
customers updated
Following its acquisition by
HL Plastics, Liniar Zoom
has launched a new blog on
its Zoomroom website from
Liniar Sales Director, Howard
Hirst. The blog covers product
developments and wider
industry issues and will become
an increasingly important way
to communicate with customers
about the latest developments –
especially with plenty of these
planned in 2014.
Howard says: “My new blog
on the Liniar Zoom website is a
great way of being able to talk to
customers about industry issues
and developments, as well as
helping potential customers make
informed buying decisions.
“I’m a strong believer in
conservatories. The UK’s
population has grown rapidly and
we’re not building enough homes
to keep up. As a result older
children are living at home with
their parents and grandparents
for longer. Families need more
living space, and conservatories
are one of the most cost-effective
and versatile ways of delivering
this. With the right products it’s a
market with lots of potential.

BALHOUSIE OPTS FOR OUTLET NETWORK
Scotland’s Balhousie Glazing has joined the Conservatory Outlet
Network to become the sole Dealer for Perth and Dundee.
The installer officially began
retailing Conservatory Outlet
products in January following
the build of a bespoke, lead
generating website, the
provision of accompanying
samples and literature, and the
set-up of remote pricing and
ordering software.
Balhousie’s established central
Perth showroom will be among

the first to display Conservatory
Outlet’s new suite of retail
brochures in which the company
has invested upwards of £20k to
feature all-new photography and
content.
The Conservatory Outlet
Network model particularly
appealed to Balhousie directors
Malcolm Sweeney and Drew Hay
(pictured) when they learned
about the exclusivity that dealers
enjoy in their trading areas and,
as a result, the relatively small
number of companies that make
up the Network: ‘It became
evident to us that Conservatory
Outlet is a genuine network in
the sense that members are not
in competition and, importantly,
they are regularly given the
opportunity, in a variety of
formats, to get together and
learn from one another,’ said
Malcolm.
