SAFEDOORS HAS GIVEN A MAJOR boost to its popular Diamond range with two new door styles , doubling the choice of colours and significantly extended hardware options .
Leading the enhanced range are the two new styles , the contemporary Ascot and the art-deco York , which have already proved their worth with similar designs in Safedoors ’ Platinum series of thermoplastic-faced engineered timber doors .
The additions come in response to feedback from trade customers , as Trade Sales Director , Lorna Rose , explained : “ The two styles are
popular choices in our Platinum range and installers tell us they would like the option of offering the two in the Diamond range of GRP doors .”
Demand for more and more colours and woodgrains is still growing in doors , just as it is in windows , she added : “ In response to this , we have doubled the choices from six to 12 . This gives homeowners a much wider palette to choose from and far more opportunities to blend in with their existing windows , and of course gives Safedoors ’ installers another major differentiation above their competitors .”
The extended hardware range gives more colour options for handles , knockers , letter plates , numerals and locks .

ROSEWOOD ON WHITE FOILED PVCu windows have been manufactured and supplied by Total Glass to a sheltered housing scheme in Liverpool for one of its long standing customers .
The social housing fenestration specialist also supplied composite doors and PVC fire exit doors as part of an extensive refurbishment project at St Cyril ’ s Court , Netherley for its client Plus Dane Housing .
Replacing original single-glazed timber windows , the new A-rated windows have improved thermal-efficiency , security and aesthetics at the 43 flats and 29 bungalows in the complex .
One of the residents , Raymond Ambrose , said the new windows were a great improvement , adding : “ We were getting constant condensation with the old wooden windows . Our homes are a lot warmer now and the new windows look terrific .
“ The Total Glass team worked very efficiently and did a very tidy job . Everyone is delighted .”

Impressive sliding doors installation

MILLENNIUM WINDOWS and Doors , a customer of PatioMaster , has recently finished a sliding door installation on a modern coastal property , the results of which are spectacular , as Sales Manager Steve Rushton explains : “ The customer did originally want bi-folding doors , but we recommended he look at sliders as the view would be obscured with bi-fold pillars . The two four-pane and two two-pane doors now maximise the view and flood light into the property , giving a complete wall-to-wall view of the sea .
“ The customer also chose 6mm self-cleaning glass , as the property ’ s location gets a lot of spray from the sea . Extremely pleased with the finished result , the customer requested an additional 4-pane door be fitted around a built-in outdoor BBQ area .”
