FAST-GROWING , composite door pioneer , Endurance ® Doors , has just posted a record first half to 2016 , with sales up over 43 % for the six months ended June 2016 , with the growth pattern continuing into the traditional holiday season of July and August .
Over the last 18 months , Endurance ® Doors has invested heavily in business operations , product development and marketing , with its recently
launched 92-page brochure hailed an overwhelming success . A new website and online door designer have also been stronger drivers in sales , with a strong pipeline of new business already in place for the coming months .
Growth has come from both existing and new customers for complete door sets and slab only manufacturing , using BBA certified Kerto LVL 48mm timber composite core , as the likes of TruFrame and Whiteline , among others , have adopted this year . New door styles , the introduction of new foiled finishes to the door frame and the change to ODL cassettes have also enhanced the product proposition .
Stephen Nadin , Managing Director of Endurance ® Doors , commented : “ Clearly solid timber core composite doors have become a firm favourite with consumers and for installation companies looking to sell a bespoke product with a BBA certified core .”

EVOLVE TO CAPITALISE ON MILLENNIAL MARKET

HOME IMPROVEMENT COMPANIES need to evolve their businesses if they are to suit the needs of the next generation of homebuyers ,” says Jeremy Brett , Director of the Consumer Protection Association .
The average age of a first-time homebuyer has now reached between 35 and 37 according to a recent study from accountants and business consultants , PwC .
Now , as the older members of the millennial generation – defined as ages 28 to 36 – start entering their prime home buying years , Jeremy says the home improvement industry is starting to see how their tastes differ from their predecessors .
Near the top of millennial ’ s wish lists are smart , energy efficient homes with an inspiring outdoor space .
Jeremy comments : “ Millennials are often saddled with student debt , making them more likely to purchase an older home , for less money up-front , and pay for improvements as they go .
“ Unsurprisingly for this tech-savvy generation , millennials are hot on smart technology for the home . They are also energy conscious , opting for improvements that will reduce energy consumption and save them money in the longterm .
“ Millennials also expect a broader range of home improvement choices and will go online to compare products and services . They are looking for a company that cuts through the noise .”
