»»Full details on the
increased range and innovative options
with Uni-Blinds® integral blinds for
domestic and commercial applications is
now available in a fresh-looking Morley
Glass & Glazing commercial brochure.
All the technical details have been
brought up-to-date to reflect advancements
such as the addition of a warm edge spacer
bar for all Uni-Blinds® units as standard,
and Morley Glass & Glazing’s extensive
stock of ScreenLine® spares. It also explains
the benefits of choosing the right type of
SGG Planitherm glass for each application,
as well as showcasing the company’s range
of back-painted, conservatory and selfcleaning glass.
Ian Short, managing director of Morley
Glass & Glazing said: “Sales of Uni-Blinds®
have boomed in the last 12 months as
installers seek short lead times and a
marketing advantage by demanding quality
integral blinds that won’t give them the
headaches of future call-backs.
“All our domestic blind systems are
available in 10 working days from any
Friday. Details on this, plus the very latest
additions to the range are all available
with the launch of our new commercial
brochure.”

Paul Edwards, Market Manager for the
DDP division explains: “There has been
huge growth in the use of decorative glass as
a real differentiator, particularly within the
composite market, but one area in which
this has been historically overlooked in the
retail sector is the grid cassette. With the new
GridLite system, however, our customers
can now offer a decorative glass solution to
match the popular Georgian look of heritage
and period properties.”
Traditionally the grid cassette has
incorporated a standard patterned double
glazed unit, but the problem here was
visibility of the back of the bars. DDP’s
GridLite system range makes it possible to
create the appearance of false separates for a
more retail orientated finish in the popular
half glazed, moon and half arch shapes as
well as for the new th ree-quarter, 12 lite
grid.

Red Dot Design Award
»»The latest in the SGG
MASTERGLASS range, SGG MASTERSOFT has brought with it a new approach to
textured glass, one that takes its inspiration
from other fields such as luxury goods and
furniture.
That was the approach of its designers
SGG’s Savinel and Rozé: “We wanted to
get away from traditional cold and clinical
aesthetics and took our inspiration from
other fields to create a softer, mellow effect.”
This inspiration was enough to win over the
highly demanding international jury for the
Red Dot Design Award, which awarded SGG
MASTER-SOFT the coveted Best-of-the-Best
distinction.
SGG MASTER-SOFT brings a matte,
velvety effect to the SGG Masterglass range
with a structured, quilted pattern with a fine
grain. It offers a new choice to architects and
designers as it is ideal for combining such
elements as furniture with indoor and outdoor
architectural elements, doors, partitions,
shower walls and bath screens, windows and
balustrades.
ABOUT THE RED DOT DESIGN
AWARD 2015: This year, the expert jury for
this major international design award which
