UAP’s Firecheck products include pioneering features which slow down the speed in which a fire can travel through a door. Intumescent lining is used, which has the unique ability to expand against heat which has radiated directly from a fire. The intumescent lining expands to 50 times its size, sealing any gaps in the door hardware. It is also activated at five degrees lower than any other intumescent available, meaning that the gaps are sealed faster and less smoke is able to get through the door. The non-heat absorbing washers hold the doors attaching metal fittings. They are extremely important, forming part of the hour patent, acting as a heat break, keeping the metals screws away from the plastic and in turn the heat. Mark explained: “The Salamander Firecheck system covers FD30 and FD60 fire doors, so the whole range of fire doors can use them. One product is all you need, this will cover the lot. We want to provide quality and affordable products; something innovative and at good value.” A majority of the Salamander Firecheck products including door viewers and Framemaster letterplates have been awarded the prestigious ‘Secured by Design’ seal of approval from the Association of Chief Police Officers. This makes them the very best products to protect both people and property. Safety and style Aside from being ultra-safe and extremely affordable, all of UAP’s products are made with the finest materials and to the highest style specifications, so there’ll be no need to choose between safety and style.
