situated five minutes from the Villa Park football ground, close to
junction six on the M6. The reason I mention this is because their
location is actually a very important part of this story and the fact
is, having such a central, well connected address means that they
are perfectly set-up to deliver to anywhere in the country with the
minimum of fuss and in double-quick time.
Add on to that, a large, well motivated workforce, a superb
manufacturing infrastructure and a stock room that is full to the brim
and you can start to see why Abcell’s future is looking so bright.
The final piece of the jigsaw was added earlier in the year when they
appointed not one, but two senior trade sales execs, Steve Deeming and
Mark Davies, two men with one very similar outlook: they both love to
talk; especially about their products and services.
Since the two guys joined Abcell, the amount of new business has
quite literally gone through the roof but apparently, it’s not because they
are a pair of super salesmen, no, it’s down to some very simple and basic
business rules; it’s all about customer service and delivering on your
promises.
Steve said: “I believe most of the success has been down to the ability
of our factory to deliver high quality products, along with the back-up
and support that our customer services team provides and the hard
work our bosses put in to make sure everything runs smoothly.”
Mark added: “I love going to see new customers, it gives me a real
buzz when I show them our product range and invite them back to our
premises, it’s a real advantage to be able to show-off what we can do.
“Most customers just want to know that their business is important
to us. Steve and I get great support from our directors, so I make sure I
pass that on to my customers. One example of the way we try to offer
something extra is this. We’ve just come up with a brilliant scheme to give
genuine retail sales leads direct to our trade customers and as you can
expect, that’s gone down a treat. I’d say that our job has been made easier
because our company are well organised, always thinking of new ways to
support our customers and most important of all, set-up for growth.”

Abcell have virtually doubled their trade customer base in less than a
year and it appears that it’s down to having a mix of good products and
good old fashioned hard work. Steve and Mark seem to have found the
perfect recipe for acquiring new business and it’s mostly down to a big
team effort, all pulling in the same direction and everyone putting their
customers first.
