Latest Hardware Offer
Titon has introduced the Maco Multi Matic tilt and
turn hinge system as the latest addition to its PVCu,
timber and aluminium window hardware offering.
»»The new range is
suitable for windows up to
1630mm wide, 2250mm high
and sash weights up to 130kg.
Maco Multi Matic boasts a
sophisticated design, with a
uniform silver effect surface and
linear recesses on the faceplate,
giving the fittings an elegant and
slim-line look.
Other design features include
rounded edges on the striker
plates and sash lifter for a smooth
contour, while the connecting
edges are covered to provide
protection against corrosion.
There is also an enhanced
combined adjustable sash lifter/
mishandling device, allowing
even the heaviest of sashes to be
closed easily, ensuring long-lasting
operation.
Specially developed for
automated assembly and small
to medium batch assembly, the
Maco Multi Matic is ‘open in’
only, with a tilt position for
ventilation and a turn mode
for cleaning. It also features
symmetrical hinge positions
for easy fitting, as well as
Eurogroove fixing support,
which allows for a decorative
rebate edge. Furthermore,
there is no hinge contact with
the water bar, which improves
thermal resistance.
An enhanced security version
is available to comply with
PAS24, while the range also
comprises the Maco Multi
Matic Invisible, which has
concealed hinges.

Solution for commercial fire doors
Agrippa acoustic fire door holders
are proving a great success at one
of the North East’s largest hospital
trusts, where they are legally holding
open fire doors, helping to ease access
through busy corridors whilst protecting
occupants in the event of a fire alarm.
»»Agrippa door
holders use Geofire’s unique,
advanced digital technology to
uniquely ‘listen and learn’ the
sound of a specific fire alarm.
This ensures the holder’s releasing
trigger reacts only to the precise
sound of the fire alarm.
For many, fire doors can be
a barrier to access, particularly
for wheelchairs users and
people with restricted mobility,
additionally, their ‘learning’ of
the specific fire alarm means that
they work perfectly with our
alarm bells and there have been
no false closures due to loud
noises.”
As a retrofit solution, Agrippa
acoustic devices are designed
for ease of installation and can
be fitted quickly to any door.
The magnetic fire door holder
is mounted behind the door at
either floor level or at the top
of the door. A unique learning
function optimises settings to suit
the installed position, and it can

be programmed for timed daily
releases. It will not cause damage
to flooring, and can be reapplied
or moved with minimal fuss. It
requires only two C cell batteries
(which last for 12 months), has
battery life indication and low
battery warning. It is approved to
EN1155 and CE Marked.
The Agrippa Acoustic
Products Range also includes an
acoustically triggered ‘swing-free’
fire door closer. UK specialist
Geofire designs and manufactures
a wide range of electromagnetic
door holders and other activation
devices used widely as part of fire,
security or ventilation systems.
