C O M The rise of video marketing »»Sue Davenport, Marketing Director for Liniar, tells us why the company is putting so much effort into developing a catalogue of videos to support its customers. “I would find it hard to imagine that there is anyone who is not aware of the existence of social media; most people are familiar with the main channels of Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn, even if they don’t use them. But amongst their rise to prominence, YouTube has been growing its use by the wider business community even more quickly, and with good reason”. Show and tell - the easiest way to teach “It is a recent symptom of the world we live in - everything seems faster and nobody seems to have any time any more. “This I believe is one of the main drivers behind the upsurge in video marketing and the massive growth in the number of businesses using it as their preferred means of sharing messages and information. Mobility “As a media, video is entirely in tune with modern day life, supported by all the mobile devices. Imagine being on site, with a problem installing a conservatory roof - how beneficial is it to click into a video on your smartphone to see how to resolve it? “According to the Invodo report: Video Statistics: The Marketer’s Summary 2014, a massive 74% of all internet traffic will be video by 2017. That means if you don’t have any videos, your potential customers may well pass you over for a competitor that does”. “As more internet users move away from the office computer and surf the net on their mobile devices, video can really come into its own. “At Liniar we are well aware of all the reasons video is such a powerful tool - and it is why we’re building our own library of videos to help our fabricator and installer customers”.
