G14AWARDS Largest ever arched window job shortlisted »»Trade fabricator Dempsey Dyer and frame bending specialists Universal Arches has been shortlisted for Commercial Project of the Year at the G-14 Awards. The £8.75 million project, which involved the replacement of 655 arched head PVC-u windows at an old Victorian mill, in Leicester, is believed to be one of the largest ever of its kind. Because of the complexity of the project, ‘it is a real honour’ Dempsey and Universal worked with architect G+P and the Leicester City Council to ensure the installation was a success. This is the second award Dempsey Dyer has been shortlisted for, the company was also presented with an accolade from the Manufacturing Advisory Service (MAS) for their commitment to lean manufacturing. Having won the Component Supplier of the Year award in 2013, Mila is keen to demonstrate that its expertise also extends into customer support.
