INDUSTRYNEWS 500 INSTALLERS OPT IN »»BFRC HAS BEEN inundated with opt in enquiries for free FENSA window and doorset energy ratings from FENSA certified installers. Over 5000 have asked to opt in as of the end of February 2016. 80% of opt in enquiries are from installers not previously registered with BFRC, whilst 20% are from BFRC Authorised Retailers wanting to switch to the free FENSA branded scheme. FENSA window and doorset energy ratings are free for FENSA certified installers (but purely optional). However, installers need to be supplied by registered fabricators, as the product installed will carry a Simplified Energy Licence from the fabricator (carrying the FENSA name). These new window and doorset energy ratings are operated and independently verified by BFRC. It is exactly the same as the existing BFRC scheme in terms of ratings, ratings bands, licence scopes and windows and doors covered. Labels provided will cover windows and doors rated ‘A++’ to ‘G’. The only difference is these new labels are branded FENSA and will have their own marketing support. Existing BFRC Authorised Retailers can quickly and easily switch to be a FENSA Authorised Installer by emailing BFRC ([email protected]). The opt in process for FENSA certified installers is to email the Operations Team on [email protected] with their company name, registration number and name of their fabricator supplier. FENSA will do the rest.
