FIT Show WOW ’ s the Crowds Once Again

THE FIT SHOW DOMINATES THE PAGES of this month ’ s Clearview magazine , and although I unfortunately was not able to attend the feedback from my editorial colleagues was that the show held all the glamour , more fun and more excitement than that of previous years .
“ An all-round WOW factor ,” was the response from Helen Willams , Pro Installer ’ s newly appointed Editor , “ The industry ’ s leading companies were there all under one roof , and being my first time at the show , it was a great opportunity to get to know some of the company ’ s , products and services on offer .”
The show opened its doors on Tuesday 12th April and saw companies such as leading Irish fabricator Camden Group unveil an array of masterpieces in the main entrance forum and hardware supply specialist Carl F Group show off their endless list of new innovative hardware products .
Synseal unveiled its Masterdor craftsman , a precision timber door , available in 21 styles and the UltraRoof 380 sprang into life on the Ultraframe stand ; engineered to come in two forms – lightweight for replacement roofs and a slightly heavier version to accommodate heavier tiles .
IG Door ’ s Trudor product ambassador , TV presenter George Clarke opened up the FIT Show 2016 Master Fitter Challenge in the main Atrium and Profile 22 revealed Optima , its total new concept in profile suiting , helping to reduce impact on the environment .
One area , which apparently wowed the audiences the most was the ‘ new for this year ’ Innovation Zone . Packed full of new products and companies attending the show for the first time , visitors were able to experience innovation from Solaris Solar – exhibiting its solar conservatory roofing system , Bassra machine tools and Metrotile roofing tiles ; the area certainly excited visitors and gave the industry something to look forward to .
What was evident from the people I spoke to who attended the show , is the reasons why the organisers are moving to the NEC next year ?
With continuing interest and the amount of exhibitors growing year-on-year the show needs to step up to the next level to continue to attract more exhibitors and more visitors and take the show to the next level , an international event , one which attracts more visitors and businesses from outside of the UK ?
