Epwin’s New
Appointment
In an exclusive for
Clearview Magazine, Clare
O’Hara, Epwin Group
Window Systems Division,
shares her last few months
experience in her newly
appointed role as the
Groups new Divisional
Managing Director.

era for Epwin Group Window Systems
Division as Clare O’Hara joins the business
as Divisional Managing Director.
Two months in and Clare had this to say
about her experiences, “In the short time
that I’ve been here I have been amazed by
the enthusiasm and support of the team, and
thrilled by the loyalty of our customers. And
contrary to what some people may think, I
am 100% committed to all of our brands.”
This is quite a bold statement from the
former Grouphomesafe director yet one that
she and the divisional team are proud to
uphold. “We like the fact that we have three
systems,” continues Clare O’Hara, Managing
Director, Epwin Group Window Systems
Division. “It gives us flexibility. We are
able to offer our customers choice, a choice
between three separate, very distinct systems
with a solid product offering.”
From day one, Clare has been busy
getting out and about, meeting customers,
“I want to understand what’s important to
them; to learn the needs of their business.
And so far, the message coming back loud
and clear, is the fact that they are aligned to
our brands. They don’t want us to choose
one or two over another, they want all
three. In listening to our customers we
can understand and appreciate what the
market really wants; it enables us to respond
effectively to their needs. The three systems,

Profile 22, Spectus and Swish, are proof of
that.”
One factor which has really resonated
with the new divisional managing director is
customer loyalty. “There are businesses who
have worked with us for 30 years or more,
some of whom are respected industry giants,”
continues Clare. “That’s an achievement,
and I want to honour that loyalty. Our
partnerships with our customers are key to
shared success in the future.”
Having been in the industry for nearly 20
years Clare is an experienced and respected
individual. She has an enviable commercial
understanding of the wider building and
construction industry thanks in part to her
time with SIG and Masco UK Window
Group Ltd.
“This is a significant step for me
personally,” continues Clare. “I’m here to
drive important changes for customers,
introduce new products and invest in the
development of our people. In terms of
tonnage we are the industry number one but
I want us to be a market leader in every sense
of the term; it’s a challenge but one that I
relish.”
Over the next 12 months there will be
significant investments across all areas of the
business; R&D, production, operations and
personnel. This follows the opening of a
brand new £1.3m foiling facility which has
increased foiling capacity by 25%.
