INNOVATION MAY WELL ALSO be the answer to the increasing problem of housing shortage in the UK , particularly in the way we build houses and source suitable sites . General feeling for the year , however , remains positive and buoyant , with Hurst Plastics reporting its best year yet for composite fire doors on page 60 and Universal Arches enjoying its greatest calendar year to date on page 57 . Now entering its 23rd year in business , Universal Arches has been pivotal in helping to define the standards for the arched and shaped frame sector , as Managing Director , Leon Day , explains in more detail on page 65 .

MADE FOR TRADE HAVE PRODUCED A TRADE customer targeted product brochure to showcase the engineering and technical attributes of the all new Korniche Roof Lantern system , explaining what makes it such an appealing product for both installers and consumers alike .
Managing Director Bradley Gaunt explained , “ Usually when offering something new to the market we are met with an understandable reluctance for installers to change from systems they are most familiar with . However , with Korniche we are experiencing something that we have never seen before . From the first demonstration our customers are blown away by the ease at which the system fits together and how things have been designed with quick installation in mind . Once they have tried the system for themselves , the experience coupled with the feedback they get from their satisfied clients means all with further lantern jobs in the pipeline have reordered Korniche .”
The new brochure describes in detail how the precision engineered component parts and many unique features culminate to make MFT ’ s Aluminium Lantern faster to install , stronger and more thermally efficient than the competition all whilst providing some of the slimmest spa sections available which achieve uninterrupted , classic , sightlines from both inside and out . Each section is supported by Client testimonials which underpin the attributes of this fully thermally broken lantern and a “ box to built ” section at the back gives insight into how quick and simple a Korniche installation can be .
Following a high demand for the product since its initial release , this precursor to the consumer targeted brochure responds to the many requests from builders and installers wanting to know more about the product and looks forward to the upcoming FIT Show in May 2017 where Made for Trade will again be showcasing the Korniche Lantern on stand L60 .
