MADE FOR TRADE HAS RECENTLY welcomed Chris Wann to its Teesside factory as he joins the team as Business Manager .
A mechanical engineer by trade , Chris started off in industrial design and has spent the last 5 years working in senior commercial roles within the subsea energy and process equipment sectors .
Chris will be involved in all aspects of the rapidly expanding business , sharing some of the management responsibilities with Managing Director , Bradley Gaunt , and helping to develop business strategy and support the growth of the bi-folding door , lantern roof and conservatory roof manufacturer .
“ Since my first introduction to Made For Trade I could see that the ethos of the business and the drive to move forward is present across all departments ,” said Chris . “ It ’ s clear that they have really concentrated on development over recent years to keep at the forefront of manufacturing and I am very much looking forward to becoming part of the team and helping shape the company ’ s future .”
Bradley explained : “ We are continuing to invest strongly in our facilities , equipment and staff during 2017 and the appointment of Chris as Business Manager ensures that the management team is reinforced to support the continued growth .”
He continued : “ Chris ’ s experience across the engineering and manufacturing industry fits in well with the company ’ s future plans and complements the development work we have
been putting into our new in-house design and engineered Korniche aluminium lantern roof .”
The Korniche features parts that click or fix together seamlessly , with no trimming or cutting of any profile required on site , allowing for a super-fast installation . Made For Trade recently built a 3m x 1.5m Korniche lantern in under 30 minutes with very few tools required .
In addition , all fixings are hidden and the slim unbroken sightlines allow for sleek , contemporary aesthetics . The lantern is fully thermally broken to give the lowest U-values and also features an innovative secure all-in-one glazing lock and retainer .

Technical Director for Door Hardware Appointed
Yale Door and Window Solutions has welcomed , Brett Evans to the business as its new Technical Director for Door Hardware , strengthening the senior team .

IN HIS NEW POSITION , Brett will be responsible for overseeing and researching new door hardware developments in both the UK and international markets , as well as looking after the day-to-day application work . A key element of the role will be liaising with customers to develop bespoke product packages based on their requirements .
Brett has an in-depth knowledge of the security industry having previously worked at ERA for the

past 21 years . After graduating from the University of Wolverhampton with a degree in Business Studies , Brett started in a marketing position at the company and it was there he realised he wanted to become more involved with the product development side of the business . As a result , he moved over to a product management role , eventually working his way up to Business Development Director for both European and American product profiles . |
