S

olarframe commenced trading in January 2009. “It seems
strange saying that now” says Steve Taylor the Managing
Director of Solarframe. “What a time to start a new
window and roof manufacturing business. They say timing is
everything, and I believe that's true” says Steve. Quiet frankly
the timing could not have been worse but it just goes to show
what a determined man can do when everything is at stake.
Six years of white knuckle riding the economic roller coaster
and the business is now set to emerge as one of Yorkshires
strongest trade suppliers of the times.
A veteran of the window industry, Steve has been
manufacturing windows, door and conservatories
for 34 years to date. Today Solarframe is a healthy
thriving manufacturing business with 50 staff
operating from the 25,000 sq/ft factory in
Goldthorpe, Rotherham.
In the six years of the companies life, Steve has
relied totally on past contacts, direct mail and
word of mouth to generate business. This is about
to change. Steve has finally decided to recruit a
Business Development Manager.

During the past six years, Solarframe has gained accreditations
with BSI (PAS 24), BSI 7412, BBA, CE Marks and BFRC
registration. The company has evidently been committed to
serving the trade sector with quality products and that shows
with this commitment to what is today the show of a good
company.

Dave daily” says Steve. “We will further strengthen the business

The new guy is not that new though as he has
been around in our industry on sales for 25 years. Dave
Cheetham has recently joined Solarframe to work with Steve
to realise the potential of the company. Dave has a wealth of
knowledge within the trade sector and is a well known and
respected business contact for many installation companies.
When Steve finally met Dave after hearing his name and his
reputation for years, Steve realised that he had gone to school
