INDUSTRYNEWS Support for Glass Product Days 2015 INDIA CHINA FINLAND SOUTH AMERICA www.gpd.fi For many years, the Glass and Glazing Federation (GGF) has supported The Glass Product Days (GPD) in Finland. »»For this 15th conference, held in June, GPD will take pride in bringing some special new features to a reshaped Conference format in response to past participant feedback and organiser experiences. This year, GPD will streamline the program to ensure that valuable views are well heard and registered. For this purpose, GPD bring interactivity between participants to a new level with instant polling of opinions. On issuing this Welcoming Message and Call for Papers, GPD reminds participants of the old saying “less is more” with the Conference offering the opportunity to voice bold, to-the-point opinions and crystal- clear messages that can be picked up by our communications and networking systems. GPD has a proven track record of securing solid feedback from glass industry policy makers. In staging the 15th Conference it is also clear that GPD represents unique accumulated knowhow of how the industry has developed over decades and is still developing. To find out more about GPD Finland 2015 and to register please visit: http://www.gpd. fi/Conferences/GPD-Finland1/ Continuing support for Trading Standards conference The GGF has again committed to supporting the Trading Standards Institute Annual Conference and Exhibition for the third successive year, which will take place on 29th June to 2nd July at Bournemouth International Centre. »»The GGF will be Supporting Glazing Networking Events »»The Glass and Glazing Federation has agreed to sponsor all three “People in Glazing Society”, (PIGS) events in 2015. In the last few years, the GGF and its Members have attended these popular social events that offer great networking opportunities. People in Glazing Society was set up in 2004 for editors in the glass and glazing press to mingle with event organisers, public relations professionals and marketing personnel. Since then it has grown in popularity and attendees now regularly include manufacturers, suppliers and installers from the sector. James Lee, GGF Head of Marketing and Communications commented: “The GGF has been attending the PIGS events for a number of years and the occasions have been excellent for networking with media contacts, catching up with GGF Members and networking with potential Members.
