Latest Thermal Door Unveiled
»»JACK ALUMINIUM CONTINUES TO
lead innovation in high-quality thermal
commercial doors with the arrival of its biggest
Secured by Design, energy efficient solution.
Based on its best-selling TD68 thermal
door system, the new door features a 1200 x
2400mm leaf, enabling one-metre clearance
for wheelchair access – a condition for many
public specifications such as schools or
hospitals.
At the same time, the larger size enables
commercial installations to incorporate more
glass, without the need for side-lights and
making the door easier and more cost-effective
to install.
This is further enhanced by a narrow
mullion that offers a 20% reduction in width
for improved sightlines – delivering the same
security performance at a lower overall cost.
The door has been tested successfully to
PAS24 and BS:EN 6375 standard, making it
ready for Secured by Design and underlining
its long-term durability in high-volume
environments. Security features include multipoint locking and a robust security bead to
help resist attack on the glazing system.
Like all TD68 solutions, the door is highly
thermally efficient with a U-value down to 1.7.

COMPOSITE DOOR SLAB MOVE
From left to right: Stephen Nadin (Endurance
Doors) with Steve Milham (Whiteline Group)
»»WHITELINE GROUP IS THE LATEST
company to change to the Endurance® Doors
solid and secure composite door slab, with the
product shown on a stand display at this year’s
FIT Show.
The introduction of the Endurance® Doors
slab will be important for Whiteline as it looks
to build sales of composite doors that exceed
the standards laid down by the new PAS24
cut test. The slab also benefits from RocFoam
technology, a clever use of a cellular PVCu
section to the base that eliminates any risk
of water ingress to the solid timber core door
slab, making for a composite door with a very
long life expectancy.
‘one of the most robust and
secure composite doors’
The Endurance® Doors door slabs will be
offered in the standard Linear outer frame from
Whiteline and also within the period inspired
and exclusive 85mm Revival frame. Hardware
is fully suited from the ProLinea, ProStyle and
ProSecure product ranges from Mila, with an
Ingenious shoot bolt and 3-star Avocet ATK
cylinder as standard, making for one of the most
robust and secure composite doors in the UK.

CAUGHT ON CAMERA
»»WIRRAL BASED INSTALLER,
Everite Windows, has reported a noticeable
increase in sales of composite doors following
the launch of XtremeDoor by Vista two years
ago.
XtremeDoor offers thermal efficiency,
security and weather performance as well as
the aesthetic versatility the modern consumer
demands. The company’s sales manager,
Mark Scudder, has used this combination
to win business from consumers throughout
Merseyside.
Mark commented: “We get a lot of
customers coming to us because they want
to replace their draughty old timber door

with an energy efficient alternative. We
recommend XtremeDoor for one simple
reason – it’s incredibly thermally efficient, up
to 19% more so than other composite doors
on the market. The triple-seal that Eurocell
offers as standard has two brush piles and
one bubble gasket. We could not get a better
weathertight seal for our customers’ front and
back doors.”
Everite has become such a fan of the
composite door that Mark Scudder features
in Vista’s new promotional video.
Keith Sadler, managing director of Vista
commented: “Installers love XtremeDoor
because it’s such an easy sell – and it’s good to
see such a well-respected company as Everite
talking about these features on camera.”
The video forms part of a marketing
strategy designed to help installers sell the
many benefits of XtremeDoor to end users.
