FIT SHOW 2016
BRIGHT FUTURE
FOR COLOURED
COMPOSITE DOORS
Colourful GRP composite doors unveiled
by Phoenix Doors at the FIT Show
attracted much attention from visitors.
»»Continuing investment in plant, premises and
people across all areas of Phoenix Doors by its
parent company, MASCO UK Window Group,
is contributing to ongoing growth in both its
product portfolio and customer base.
Sales Director Haydon Statham
commented: “The FIT Show provided the
ideal platform to launch new products across
our range, including the new Winkhaus
AV2-B electronic multi-point locking system
that offers a 21st century keyless aesthetic
solution.
“People were also curious to find out more
about how we can satisfy growing demand
for a wide range of coloured composite doors
on shorter lead times. Our rainbow-coloured
Continental Collection Door also attracted
much attention.
“Meridian, our high-performance 70mm
double-rebated composite door, also proved
very popular and visitors were clearly impressed
with our new capability to supply this premium
product in a host of new colours.”
Having experienced a ‘phenomenal’ uplift
in sales at the beginning of this year, Phoenix
Doors has introduced extra production shifts
and is enlarging its paint spraying capability
to service customer requirements as part of a
wider review of its manufacturing operations
and future growth strategy.
tape TruFit® was a big winner. The tongue-incheek silicone gun amnesty went down really
well with installation companies visiting the
show to swap old silicone guns for a reel of
TruFit. Alistair Inglis from manufacturing partner
Tremco Illbruck was on the Edgetech stand to
offer expert advice on the quick, clean and easy
fitting method. Changes to BS8213-4:2016
installation standards have come just in time as
there’s a big movement of companies looking to
switch to TruFit.
Experts for the Dealership Plus business
support scheme were also in high demand on
the stand. Again it was a good opportunity for
the whole supply chain to access information
about the comprehensive package which
covers crucial services for businesses.

»»Following a landmark FIT Show
debut, respected PVCu sash window
specialist Roseview is celebrating a raft
of new enquiries, potential projects,
and significantly increased brand
awareness.
Roseview treated FIT Show-goers
to an array of innovations designed to
push the authenticity of its PVCu sash
windows even further, as sales director
Richard Burrells explained: “Our standout
display model was our new and improved
Ultimate Rose. I ts 35mm meeting stile is
9mm slimmer than previously, looks more
elegant and timber-like than ever, and by
removing the interlock line - a standard
feature of PVCu sliding-sash windows we’ve made it almost impossible to tell
the difference between an Ultimate Rose
and a timber window.”
Roseview’s stand also showcased the
Heritage Rose, manufactured in both its
high-end homeowner configuration and
as a part of a large triple featuring an
85mm slim mullion section. There was
also the Eurocell-based, specificationfriendly Charisma Rose, manufactured in
Lifetime Homes format, featuring a lowlevel easy to use magnet lock.
“Increasingly, we’re seeing property
developers, housing associations
and others seeking Lifetime Homesaccredited windows for major projects
– and on our stand the Charisma Rose,
equipped with the necessary hardware
to meet Lifetime Homes, received a lot of
interest,” said marketing manager Mike
Bygrave.
EDGETECH
SEES APPETITE
FOR GROWTH
on FIT Show 2016 from Edgetech UK and
visitors alike.
“It was the first time at an exhibition that
Edgetech had products and services for all
visitors from IGU manufacturers to fabricators
and installers,” said Chris Alderson, Managing
Director of Edgetech UK. “We had a lot of
very good quality discussions about our core
products. Driving many of the conversations
was a desire to increase production numbers
and Super Spacer® is the first choice.
“Edgetech has always led the market
for production efficiencies and automation
alongside better energy efficient glazing. I spoke
to several machinery manufacturers at the show
and there’s a real appetite for growth.“
Edgetech’s stand saw a record number of
people ask for information about the entire
product range. As well as warm edge spacer
technology, the expanding foam installation
