FIT SHOW 2016 BRIGHT FUTURE FOR COLOURED COMPOSITE DOORS Colourful GRP composite doors unveiled by Phoenix Doors at the FIT Show attracted much attention from visitors. »»Continuing investment in plant, premises and people across all areas of Phoenix Doors by its parent company, MASCO UK Window Group, is contributing to ongoing growth in both its product portfolio and customer base. Sales Director Haydon Statham commented: “The FIT Show provided the ideal platform to launch new products across our range, including the new Winkhaus AV2-B electronic multi-point locking system that offers a 21st century keyless aesthetic solution. “People were also curious to find out more about how we can satisfy growing demand for a wide range of coloured composite doors on shorter lead times. Our rainbow-coloured Continental Collection Door also attracted much attention. “Meridian, our high-performance 70mm double-rebated composite door, also proved very popular and visitors were clearly impressed with our new capability to supply this premium product in a host of new colours.” Having experienced a ‘phenomenal’ uplift in sales at the beginning of this year, Phoenix Doors has introduced extra production shifts and is enlarging its paint spraying capability to service customer requirements as part of a wider review of its manufacturing operations and future growth strategy. tape TruFit® was a big winner. The tongue-incheek silicone gun amnesty went down really well with installation companies visiting the show to swap old silicone guns for a reel of TruFit. Alistair Inglis from manufacturing partner Tremco Illbruck was on the Edgetech stand to offer expert advice on the quick, clean and easy fitting method. Changes to BS8213-4:2016 installation standards have come just in time as there’s a big movement of companies looking to switch to TruFit. Experts for the Dealership Plus business support scheme were also in high demand on the stand. C O M »»Following a landmark FIT Show debut, respected PVCu sash window specialist Roseview is celebrating a raft of new enquiries, potential projects, and significantly increased brand awareness. Roseview treated FIT Show-goers to an array of innovations designed to push the authenticity of its PVCu sash windows even further, as sales director Richard Burrells explained: “Our standout display model was our new and improved Ultimate Rose. I ts 35mm meeting stile is 9mm slimmer than previously, looks more elegant and timber-like than ever, and by removing the interlock line - a standard feature of PVCu sliding-sash windows we’ve made it almost impossible to tell the difference between an Ultimate Rose and a timber window.” Roseview’s stand also showcased the Heritage Rose, manufactured in both its high-end homeowner configuration and as a part of a large triple featuring an 85mm slim mullion section. There was also the Eurocell-based, specificationfriendly Charisma Rose, manufactured in Lifetime Homes format, featuring a lowlevel easy to use magnet lock. “Increasingly, we’re seeing property developers, housing associations and others seeking Lifetime Homesaccredited windows for major projects – and on our stand the Charisma Rose, equipped with the necessary hardware to meet Lifetime Homes, received a lot of interest,” said marketing manager Mike Bygrave. EDGETECH SEES APPETITE FOR GROWTH on FIT Show 2016 from Edgetech UK and visitors alike. “It was the first time at an exhibition that Edgetech had products and services for all visitors from IGU manufacturers to fabricators and installers,” said Chris Alderson, Managing Director of Edgetech UK. “We had a lot of very good quality discussions about our core products. Driving many of the conversations was a desire to increase production numbers and Super Spacer® is the first choice. “Edgetech has always led the market for production efficiencies and automation alongside better energy efficient glazing. I spoke to several machinery manufacturers at the show and there’s a real appetite for growth.“ Edgetech’s stand saw a record number of people ask for information about the entire product range.
