The Kent-based manufacturer invested recently in Lisec’s high-productivity bender to automate Swisspacer production and improve overall efficiency. Over the past 18 months, Lisec and Swisspacer have worked closely with Olympic Glass to develop a bespoke bending machine to meet Olympic’s exact requirements. The result is perfect Swisspacer frames in a 40-second cycle time, with enough capacity to feed smoothly into the main production line. The Lisec bender also helps Olympic Glass compete more effectively in the commercial sector, where there is demand for larger frames and greater structural integrity. Shaun Harris, Olympic Glass Production Director, said: “We’ve used Swisspacer’s warm edge spacer bar for some years now.
