New Managing Director
for Edgetech UK
Quanex Building Products has appointed Chris Alderson to succeed Andy Jones in
the position of managing director for its Edgetech UK business unit. Alderson has
a proven track record for success in the United Kingdom’s insulating glass market,
serving most recently as Bostik’s European Business Director, Assembly Solutions.
»»Alderson was with
Bostik Europe for nearly 20
years, holding positions in
sales, operations and executive
management. He has a diploma
in Mechanical Engineering from
Leicester Charles Keene College
and has furthered his education
by taking courses in business
management, strategic planning,
management and leadership
of multifunctional teams,
communications and internal
control and compliance. He is also
active in industry organizations,
currently serving as council board
member for British Adhesives and
Sealants Association (BASA).

»»Powdertech (Corby) Ltd, the
specialist metal finisher, has appointed Hayley
Beasley as Operations Engineer, based at the
company’s plant in Corby. Powdertech has
over thirty-years expertise in architectural
metal finishing and continues to grow in other
significant markets including rail and retail
interiors.
Sales Director, Richard Besant said:
“Hayley’s appointment as Operations
Engineer is a key part of our business strategy.
In this multi-disciplinary role Hayley will
work alongside the Operations Manager and
Commercial Manager to accelerate the delivery

practical experience in project and people

Hayley has recently returned from a year
working in Australia as Project Manager for
Wormald Fire Protection, prior to which she
was managing the Operations Department for
Landis and Gyr.
