A ‘Super’ Investment
Rooms and Views has become the first in the
UK to install the new Supercut 5 machining centre from
Wegoma, allowing them to double their output and manufacture frames.
»»The Flintshire based
company is fast becoming one
the region’s most ‘in-demand’
fabricators and they invested
circa £200k in the machinery
so they can manufacture larger
volumes.
Simon Lomax, Operations
Director of Rooms and Views
commented: “We’ve been
experiencing incredible demand
here at Rooms and Views for
some time and with volumes
continuing to increase, we
decided we needed to re-look at
our manufacturing procedures
and make some changes.
“After assessing the machinery
market we became aware of
the Supercut 5 from Wegoma
and were so impressed we
decided to make the investment.
The machine has only been
operational for a few weeks
but it has already made a huge
difference.”
The investment in Supercut
5 is the latest stage in Rooms
and Views growth strategy as the
fabricator is starting to become
much more active in the trade
sector and the new machine
will allow them to continue to
supply new-build clients as well as
accommodate increasing demand
from installers.
Rooms and Views fabricates
windows and doors using the
Liniar system including the
company’s recently launched
Mod-lock bi-fold, the PVCu
bi-fold that is a genuine rival to
aluminium, and the new Liniar
flush sash casement. Installers
buying from Rooms and Views
can expect quality products,
marketing and technical support
and a swift turnaround from
receipt of order.

A Particularly
Impressive
Service
»»Lancashire based Sovereign
Group has invested in two new heavy duty
electronic double mitre saws from Emmegi,
continuing its twenty year association with the
machinery supplier.
Producing around 1700 items per week
in both PVCu and aluminium, Sovereign
already uses Emmegi saws for all of its cutting
requirements, so Emmegi was the natural
choice when it was looking to expand its
cutting capacity.
Sovereign’s Production Director Dave Fitton
says that he looked around at other options on
the market before placing the order but judged
that none had the same build quality as the
Emmegi Classic Star saw.
He said: “There are cheaper alternatives
on the market but we weren’t prepared to
compromise on quality because we rely so
heavily on the performance and reliability of
our saws. The Emmegi machines have proved

themselves over twenty years and are an
integral part of our set up.”
Sovereign is already using four Classic
Star saws and one Emmegi Twin Electra saw
at its Nelson factory so the new machines
are operating alongside these allowing the
company to increase output.
What particularly impressed Sovereign
about the new machines was the service they
received from the Emmegi technician. He
arrived at 4pm the day before the installation
date, set up the saws to work with Sovereign’s
window production software and ensured that
they were in full production at 7.30am the
following day.
Dave Fitton added: “The team at Emmegi
are easy to deal with, they deliver on their
promises and they supply high quality, reliable
machines. In our large scale, quality focused
production operation that means a lot.”
