The eye-catching glass shopfront, spanning 33 x 4.2 metres, is the latest result of a long-standing partnership between Jack Aluminium and IDF Aluminium Ltd. IDF Aluminium also chose high security Jack Door TD68 doors fitted with louvers for the project to achieve PAS24 standards. A colour matched pressed aluminium sign panel was required which Jack Aluminium was able to supply. William Woods, director at IDF Aluminium Ltd, says the Jack Aluminium curtain walling system’s excellent U-value performance and high thermal efficiency make it ideally suited for high footfall entrances. Worldwide aluminium market expected to double The worldwide aluminium market is expected to double within the next 10 years, industry experts predict. »»This positive outlook is reinforced by figures released by Statista and Hydro, which reveal global aluminium consumption is increasing year on year. In 2015, global aluminium consumption increased by 15% to 14.8m tonnes in Q2 compared with Q1 in 2015. Compared with Q2 2014, global demand rose by 5%.
