Stuart Goulding, Director at Dennis Goulding
Windows, to find out whether or not solid
roofs are here to stay?...
“I began installing solid roofs 12 month ago
when I was introduced to them by Roof 2
Roof,” explains Stuart. “Roof 2 Roof became
licensed to manufacture the supalite solid roof
system and invited us to attend a training day
to learn about the product.

“I was already familiar with the solid roof
systems that were available but, as they were
fairly new to the market, I chose to not to get
involved until they had been properly tried and
tested so that any issues could be resolved.
After all, the reputation of my business relies
heavily on the integrity of the products I install.
But given that I had a 7 year trading history with
Roof 2 Roof and had always found its products
to be of a high standard I had no doubt that its
solid roof system would be the same.
“We were able to witness the development
of the product at Roof 2 Roof’s factory area,

dedicated to fabricating the supalite roof.
And it gives us real peace of mind to know
that every roof we order has already been
factory assembled before it arrives onsite.
What’s more, absolutely every component has
already been cut to size, including the tiles and
plasterboard, which not only saves time on site
but also minimises any mess and disruption for
the customer.
“The roof itself is a great sales tool.
The homeowners we speak to, particularly
those with existing conservatories with a
polycarbonate roof, are quick to understand
the benefits of a solid roof in providing
them with a useable room all year round, at
a fraction of the cost of an extension. Even
customers who initially come to us enquiring
about a new conservatory with a glass roof
will often switch to the supalite solid roof once
they hear about it.”
