Impressive
£1 million
sales
»»Sales have surpassed £1 million
for aïr, the high performance lift & slide and
bi-fold doors manufactured exclusively by
Everglade Windows, in less than nine months
since its launch.
“These impressive sales figures show
the success of aïr,” says Jay Patel, Brand
Ambassador for aïr and Sales Director at
Everglade Windows. “Since the brand launch
in November 2013, and the first doors leaving
the Everglade Windows factory, interest in aïr
has been extraordinary.
“There are already 10 accredited retailers
selling aïr throughout the South East of
England, and seven aïrzones have been
installed. Excitement around the brand keeps
building, as more retailers are added around
the UK.
“These are high performance doors, tested
to the extreme. Boundless possibilities with
colours, finishes and options add to aïr’s
desirability for consumers as do its super slim
sightlines and refined engineering.
“To reach £1 million within nine months,
with a new product, is a brilliant result.
This shows that our two years planning and
developing the brand has really paid off for aïr
accredited installers.”
EXCELLENCE
IN EXETER
three tonnes of PVC-u off-cuts a month.
The company has also recently invested in
fleXipod – a cutting edge electronic proof of
delivery and fulfilment system. Each vehicle
in Hurst’s fleet of delivery vehicles is now
equipped with fleXipod, which generates live
‘paperless’ information for both the customer
and Hurst to ensure smooth, scheduled
deliveries and enhanced service.
Darren Glew, Operations Director at Hurst,
said: “Sustainability is really important to
Hurst Plastics and we are very committed to
minimising our carbon footprint by reducing,
re-using and recycling whenever we can. Our
environmental policy is on-going and we are
well on course to achieve our target to send
nothing to landfill by the end of next year.”
»»With a 25% increase in sales
of roofline products and a major
refurbishment of their trade counter and
showroom, it has been a busy year for
Freefoam customer; National Plastics in
Exeter.
Part of an ongoing development
programme for the branch the space
has been reconfigured to create a new
trade counter area which now features a
wide range of Freefoam products. Using
Freefoam Geopanel internal panelling
and hollow soffit as an eye catching
wall covering and the Fortex cladding
installed.
Growth in the branch has come from
a number of areas; a wide loyal customer
base and continuing upturn in the
construction industry, seeing existing
customers ordering larger volumes more
frequently.
Simon Long Branch Manager
commented: “I’ve seen the business here
continually grow. We’re a team of four now
and have recently added another delivery
truck to service our growing customer base
in Cornwall and South Devon.”
Nick Stone, National Sales Manager,
National Plastics commented: “I’m very
pleased with the progress of our Exeter
branch. Simon and his team are proactive,
promoting products and helping customers
to see ‘add-on’ opportunities. This success
is a testament to their hard work and
