£ 1M MOVE TO LARGER PREMISES
Increased demand for Uni-Blind ® sealed units with integral blinds has led Morley Glass & Glazing to move to larger premises in Leeds , West Yorkshire .

MORLEY GLASS & GLAZING IS Europe ’ s largest ScreenLine ® integral blind fabricator and is investing more than £ 1m moving to a 40,000 sq ft factory and office space , doubling its production capacity , tripling its footprint and creating eight new jobs .
The move , this week , to Unit 3 at Leeds 27 Industrial Estate , just off the M62 , is the company ’ s third move in 18 years and will accommodate its recent 30 % year-on-year growth record .
Ian Short , Managing Director of Morley Glass that employs 58 people , said : “ The quality of our products and our investment in customer service , plus our 10-day delivery commitment , is resulting in record growth , which is set to continue .
“ The new premises will allow us to work more efficiently , invest in new machinery , improve our showroom , take on more staff and install a new customer training facility . We ’ re also planning to introduce exclusive new ScreenLine ® products and continue to attract more trade window and door fabricators and installers .”

Introducing the benefits of Thermobar and Thermoflex warm edge spacers , the video commences within a warm comfortable home with a family calculating their energy bills . It then showcases Thermobar and Thermoflex by zooming into a simulated home and through clever graphics it deconstructs a window down to the spacer bar within the glazing unit .
Quoting figures such as , “ Up to 80 % of energy loss through a window occurs at its edge ” and “ Warm edge glazing is up to 65 % warmer at the edge than traditional windows ,” the video tells homeowners about the real issues relating to poorly insulated windows and how Thermobar and Thermoflex helps to minimise the energy loss through the edge of window glazing to keep the heat in or out of a building as required . Warm Edge spacers also help to minimise condensation and mould .
Thermobar Warm Edge Spacer is a rigid tube spacer system made with engineering plastic with a gas barrier tape . It has a thermal conductivity value of 0.14W / mK and achieves a Passive House rating of phA for Arctic Climates ( phA + with hot melt secondary sealant ). Thermoflex Warm Edge Spacer is a flexible rubber spacer system with gas barrier tape . Its value is 0.135W / mK and similarly achieves a phA + rating .
