with the cutting for each part completed
to the customer’s specifications during the
manufacturing stage. This allows the roof to
be ready for assembly on delivery.
A detailed installation guide will be on
hand and the team from Made for Trade will
be able to offer help over the phone. Online
assistance will also be available.
The Korniche is a design with patent
pending parts and will be exclusively
manufactured by Made for Trade, a company
with more than 35 years of conservatory roof
fabrication experience. The product can be
assembled quickly by fitters on site, allowing
for flexibility in delivery. The flat-pack
arrangement gives the option of easy delivery
to hard-to-reach locations such as sites not
accessible by roads where a pre-built lantern
may require a crane to lift into position.

AFFORDABLE
Despite the attention to detail and the
high quality, injection moulded seals are
expensive, the company says the Korniche
will be competitive on price and will appeal
to builders, installers, architects and
homeowners. All the necessary pricing
software has already been put in place.

Such is the company’s faith in the
Korniche that it has set up a dedicated
11,000 sq ft factory complete with new
machinery, such as a five axis CNC saw.
Made for Trade already has a roof factory,
a separate bi-folding door premises, a
warehouse for parent firm Aanco’s local retail
operations and a show village containing nine
conservatories in Teesside.
A marketing campaign is underway with
the key words describing the Korniche as
‘contemporary, innovative, unique, luxurious,
affordable, and game-changing.’ The
company will have a full roof on display at the
Fit Show and an animated video with lifestyle
shots. As Bradley said, “It’s all fair and well
having a great product but you have to back
that up.”
He added: “I am very excited about our
new Korniche roof lantern and am looking
forward to showing it at the FIT Show. The
product removes all the boundaries why
people would not buy it and we expect it
to be so much better than others on the
market. I really think the look of it will be well
received.”
