FIT SHOW 2016 IT’S A FIT SHOW HAT-TRICK »»Kömmerling manufacturer, Flair Plastic Products, will be exhibiting at the FIT Show for the third time in succession, as the Midlands-based business looks set to continue its impressive growth with the launch of several new products. On display will be the lift and slide PremiDoor 88, which is capable of a 6.5metre span with just two sashes and so makes for a direct competitor to a bi-folding door, yet offering as much as 25% additional light, thanks to the cleaner sightlines. But arguably the most important product on the stand will be the UK exhibition premier of the Invisifold window and bi-folding door system. There will also be a Kömmerling O70 Gold® window on display, along with a Smart Systems aluminium patio door. Collectively these products will feature on one of the largest stands at the show at 24m2 for Flair Plastic Products and with the PremiDoor 88 and Invisifold system, Flair promises to demonstrate considerable innovation with Kömmerling PVCu profiles. Adrian Keegan of Flair Plastic Products commented, “This will be our third FIT Show in succession and certainly our biggest commitment yet. We believe there’s something for all.” Stand 354, Hall 3, FIT Show, Telford PROVIDING GOOD PRACTICE »»Ensuring homeowners and businesses feel safe and secure against criminal threat is ultimately an activity driven by security and safety standards within the industry. Alone, a well designed, manufactured product is not good enough. Fabricators and installers should be able to demonstrate their products are fit for purpose and meet the needs of the homeowner in order to stay competitive. The best evidence a company could provide the end-user, is that from an independent third-party, reputable UKAS accredited company. Providing testing reports and certification, helps the homeowner to understand the level of quality they will be receiving from the supplier and offers peace of mind for the future. Design and manufacture of door and window products is down to the fabricator, however utilising an expert such as IFC Certification for the testing and certification of your products, can help support the your businesses product offering now and in the future.
