MACHINERY
£150K INVESTMENT
Liverpool-based PVCu trade fabricator,
Warwick North West, has invested
£150k in new machinery, significantly
increasing its production capacity.
»»THE COMPANY HAS
purchased three state-of-the-art
units from world-renowned
manufacturer, URBAN, via
TMS: an SV410 corner cleaning
machine and two four-headed
welders, including a top
of the line AKS 1805 ETL
Vertiquad.
“We’re really ambitious about
the growth we want to achieve
in 2016 and the new machinery
is central to our plans,” said
managing director, Greg
Johnson. “Warwick specialise in
high-end, meticulously-crafted
products, and the investment
means we can scale up while
continuing to provide our
customer base with the best
products and most reliable
service around.”
The new corner cleaners and
quad welders are just the latest in
a string of investments made by
the forward-thinking fabricator
as it pursues ambitious growth
plans for the year ahead.
2015 saw Warwick invest a
further £500,000 in a second
Schirmer Saw Centre, integral
to the launch of Innolux, the
Company’s signature line of
premium windows and bifolding doors. This followed the
launch of a rebranded Warwick
Bi-fold Door
North West, bringing together
previously separate Warwick
Developments and Warwick
Sliders as a unified business
focusing on specialist products.

New Machinery Offers
Triple Benefits
»»A NEW EMMEGI PHANTOMATIC M3
machining centre is helping specialist
fabricator Elite Conservatories deliver an
impressive triple whammy of benefits to its
trade customers.
Elite Conservatories has been successfully
making bi-fold doors in Smart’s Visifold
2000 profile for the last seven years and had
previously relied largely on a hand router for
most of the machining tasks.
Now though, with its investment in a new
Phantomatic M3 machine, it has transformed
its production and is achieving consistently
improved quality and higher volumes. Lead
times on the bi-fold doors have been reduced
from 15 working days to just 10 and, as a
result of the efficiency improvements it is
seeing, it has been able to pass on price savings
to its customers.
Director, Phil Warner said: “We’re always
looking to improve the quality and service we
deliver to customers and this new machine is
a key part of that. It is making us quicker and

‘an excellent
reputation’
more efficient and, by automating so many of
the machining processes, it’s also giving us the
potential to expand to keep pace with demand
without having to invest in recruiting and
training more staff.”
The Emmegi Phantomatic M3 is a 3+1
controlled axes machine which allows
processing on three sides of the workpiece
without the need to reposition. It is designed
for machining aluminium profiles with up to
eight automatically changed tool positions.
Phil added: “Emmegi enjoys an excellent
reputation for quality and service and the team
there were really helpful in advising us that
the Phantomatic M3 had all the functionality
we required. We were particularly impressed
with the fact that the machine effectively
future proofs our operation, giving us the
opportunity to increase volumes still further as
we expand.”
