Transforming the decorative
coatings market
»»CREATIVE RESINS HAS BEEN
producing decorative resins for over 25 years,
selling them all over the world. Constantly
adding and improving its product range,
which are easy to use, first class products
with full guarantees for their durability and
adhesiveness, they can be used not only on
glass but also PVCu.
Simulated stained glass resins can be
applied by hand or by machine and can create
any design onto glass, wood, aluminium,
plastic and ceramic. Unlike traditional stained
glass methods, the Creative Resins process
is only applied to one side of the glass and
looks the same from both sides. It is laid
onto the glass mainly by machine and then
coloured by hand. These resin stained glass
panels can then be placed to the exterior
of a building as they are totally UV stable
and are guaranteed for a minimum of ten
years against weathering, making them ideal
for fanlights in conservatories or door and
window panels.
As the process is efficient, labour costs are
dramatically reduced compared to traditional
stained glass or stick on lead and film. As the
production schedule can be vastly improved,
the process enables companies to offer
the panels at more competitive rates that
traditional methods.
The CAD machinery that applies the stained
resin outlines is inexpensive and comes with
around 700 ready to run designs.Various sizes
of glass and various designs can all be laid on

the machine to run at any one time, making
the operator free to carry out other duties or
colour panels at the same time.
Over the last few year, Creative Resins has
introduced its spray resins for back painted
glass, which can be applied to glass for kitchen
splash backs, curtain walling, wet rooms,
security glass, partitions and cladding, to name
a few applications.
The spray resins are guaranteed for a
minimum of ten years internal (monolithic)
and 10 years external (when laminated).
There are thousands of colours available as
well as sparkle, pearl essence and metallic
effects, granite effects, satin, which resembles
sandblasted glass, marble effects and the
spray mirror, which can turn plain glass of
any thickness into a mirror finish. The latest
finish is the new acid etch spray effect, which
is inexpensive to produce and do not suffer
finger print or oil stains like regular acid etch
glass.
As the spray resins can be applied in-house,
it stops the need for companies to order in
pre-coloured glass, which is expensive and
liable to breakages during transit. It also stops
the need of ordering in premixed colours,
which usually have to be purchased as a litre
even if the user only needs a small amount,
creating a lot of wastage and adding to costs.
The spray resins are touch dry in up to
15 minutes, totally dry in 24 hours and can
be laminated in 72 hours. 10 square metres
of glass takes approximately 20 minutes to
spray so it is a very simple and quick process.
Creative Resins has a range of 23 basic colours,
all of which can be mixed together to create
an endless palette of colours. A starter kit has
been introduced, which has all the nece 76'
