FREEFOAM PRODUCTS IN
INSPIRATIONAL PROJECT
Freefoam Building Products have been
used on an inspirational project by Barratt
David Wilson Homes to interest children in
construction.
Fascia, soffit and guttering, provided by
Freefoam customer Northern Building
Plastics, made an essential contribution to a
small scale home built for pupils of Scholes
Village Primary School, Cleckheaton, West
Yorkshire.
Using the Barratt Homes ‘Young Guns’
team to design, procure and manage the
project, the house was completed in June
2014, in time for the school’s 50th anniversary
celebrations. The ‘Learning House’ will
benefit the social, personal and emotional
development of pupils by creating an
informative learning experience.
Freefoam’s products for the building industry
in Ireland, the UK and mainland Europe offer
a fully integrated suite of products to provide
the complete roofline solution, suitable for any
size of property and designed to work together
so colours will match exactly. All are covered
by the Freefoam Lifetime Guarantee and have
extra UV Protection.
Colin St John, UK General Manager,
commented: “We’re delighted to have supplied
materials for this project. Freefoam products
are guaranteed for 50 years so will still be
going strong for the centenary!”

A BEAUTIFUL FINISH FROM FRAMEXPRESS
Choice and performance once again
proved the winning formula for leading
window, door and conservatory fabricator,
frameXpress Ltd on a recent refurbishment
project on the Hertfordshire border.
The Irish Oak coloured foil was the product
of choice for all windows and French doors
at this impressive private home. frameXpress
won the £30,000 contract due to the high
performance standards offered including A
Ratings and SBD accreditations.
Maintaining a traditional appearance was
important to ensure a period style throughout
the property including all windows, doors
and a composite front door which needed
to be manufactured in their chosen colour
and made with thumbturn bolt security to
add reassurance and reduce the amount of
hardware required to secure the door when
closed.
As a high specification project the very latest
in thermally-efficient products was stipulated
– this was pivotal in order to win the
contract. The property has been substantially
improved with better soundproofing and a
considerable reduction in energy bills since
the installation thanks to the thermallyefficient FS70 mm units and doors from
the frameXpress range. It’s value has also
increased considerably.

Rugby Double Glazing ‘backs up’
the Network VEKA message
Award-winning Network VEKA member,
Rugby Double Glazing is continuing
to make good use of the organisation’s
branding to attract and reassure
customers.
Director Simon Wade explains: “We have
been a member of Network VEKA since 2011,
and it has made a big difference to us and our
customers.
“We’ve now utilised the Network VEKA
Marketing Portal to update the livery on
our vans. The portal allows members to
personalise brochures, poster and adverts etc

and also offers items like vehicle graphics. We
appreciated the fact that these van backs were
offered as a subsidised service so we took the
opportunity to update all four of our vans.
By sending Network VEKA a picture of the
finished vans, we’ll be rewarded with £100
back.
“it’s a great talking point as people stop to ask
our fitters why we have a picture of Steve Davis
and also set us apart from all the double glazing
companies with poorly designed vehicles.
“We’ll be driving home the Network VEKA
message of quality and service throughout
Rugby and the wider area!”
