DOORS&WINDOWS SOLIDOR’S AWARDING THEIR INSTALLERS Solidor’s thirst for marketing innovation continues with the launch of their ‘Installer of the Month’ campaign, to support their nationwide network of over 300 Recommended and Premium Installers throughout the UK. The ‘Installer of the Month’ campaign has already begun with West Yorkshire based Premium Installer, Aire Valley Glass’ taking the award for the first month of March 2014. The rules are simple, the installer that sends in the most images within a given month will be named as that months Solidor ‘Installer of the Month.’ Given the number of pictures of Solidor installations that ‘Aire Valley Glass’ taking the award for the first month’ circulate in social media, this latest marketing initiative was an obvious decision. The winners each month will be presented with an official Solidor ‘Installer of the Month’ logo for use in online channels along with a voucher for £100 at Screwfix, as Aire Valley Glass have already enjoyed. Companies can submit images through Facebook and Twitter, or even e-mail steven@solidor. co.uk, but they need to be of installations carried out during the same month. www.solidor.co.uk or call 01782 847300 or e-mail [email protected] GLAZERITE GETS EVEN TOUGHER WITH THREE MORE SBD LICENCES Trade fabricator Glazerite Windows Ltd has gained three new Secured By Design certifications – for composite doors, French doors and the new VEKA Imagine bi-folds – to add to its existing portfolio of policeapproved product ranges. The latest additions, among other things, make Glazerite one of only three UK fabricators who currently hold the soughtafter accreditation on bi-folds and one of the very few VEKA fabricators to have both SBD and Part M wheelchair access certification on French doors. Glazerite now holds SBD certification on its casement, tilt/turn and VS windows and single resi-doors as well as the three new categories. All have been tested to PAS24: 2012 by a certificated independent testing house. The fabricator was also the first to supply the SBD accredited Dynamic 2D hinge from SFS Intec in all 15 colour variants for its VEKA door range. “Next on the list will be the new VEKA Imagine patio door,” said Glazerite Director Jason Thompson. The new range, launched at the FIT Show, will now be submitted for SBD testing and licensing. www.glazeritewindows.co.uk GLAZERITE GAINS ANOTHER FIRST WITH VEKA BI-FOLD DEBUT Glazerite Windows Ltd is again at the forefront of product innovation with the new VEKA Imagine bi-fold door. The launch is in response to industry forecasts that PVC-U bi-folds will account for over a quarter of the patio/sliding doors market – and over a half by value – by 2016. It is also hailed as the first product to come out under the VEKA UK Group banner and 52 JUL 2014 will be backed by an extensive marketing programme. Glazerite Director, Jason Thompson said: “We were already fully aware of the growth and further potential for bi-folds so when we saw the VEKA product, we knew it was a winner.” Imagine is available in fully sculptured or bevelled, with up to seven sashes on a maximum 14 configurations, opening inside or out. It is also the only bi-folding door system to offer all three threshold variations: standard, Part M (wheelchair) compliant or ultra low as in internal room divider. Developed in association with lock manufacturer ERA, it comes with an impressive five-star security guarantee. www.glazeritewindows.co.uk To read more, visit www.clearview-uk.com
