CLASSIC-AL PEAKS FOR CUSTOMADE
As demand for aluminium reaches an all
time high, Gloucestershire-based fabricator
Customade has announced record volumes
of its exclusive Classic-al window system.
“Aluminium is a hugely popular material
now within the domestic market and Classical has been our fastest growing window system
by far,” says Andy Thomas Customade’s Sales
and Marketing Director. “We’re currently
fabricating in excess of 300 aluminium
windows a week and have the infrastructure
in place to increase capacity as demand for
aluminium grows even more in the future.”
“We are very proud of the success of this
superb window system, which is totally
exclusive to us. It’s the ultimate choice
for people who want a window with no
compromises at all on looks, security or
performance. Our installers have welcomed
Classic-al, not just because it’s a modern and
energy efficient alternative to PVC-u and
timber, but also because it has helped them to
diversify from the fiercely competitive PVC-u
market with fresh sales opportunities,” he
adds.
‘With its elegant, slim
sightlines and a soft,
sculptured profile, Classical has been designed
with reliability and
aesthetics in mind’
The Classic-al window combines the traditional
appeal of a timber window with the trusted
performance of aluminium. With its elegant,
slim sightlines and a soft, sculptured profile,
Classic-al has been designed with reliability and
aesthetics in mind. It uses a proven polyamide
thermally broken 70mm system, which is based
on the popular Smart Alitherm 47 aluminium
window, and benefits from the strength and
durability of aluminium.
Classic-al comes in a choice of more than
300 colours, in a matt, satin or gloss finish as
well as a dual colour option. A textured finish,
in 18 colours from the new ‘Sensations’ range
of finishes, is also available.
The window is fitted with a shootbolt
locking system, which is bolstered by a
uniquely designed shootbolt keeps for greater
security. Classic-al’s proven window handles
are ergonomically designed and push button
operated with an additional keyed deadlock.
Classic-al is available in A, B and C energy
rated options and is fully kitemark tested. For
added peace of mind, it has also been awarded
full Secured by Design and PAS 23/24
approval.

PIONEER HELPS KEEP THINGS QUIET
IN BUSTLING BRICK LANE
New residents in the middle of one of London’s busiest tourist spots can
expect a little extra peace and quiet, thanks to specialist acoustic damping,
including high specification acoustic windows by Pioneer Commercial.
The prestigious ‘Seven 7
Bricks’ residential and retail
development is not only
in the bustling Brick Lane
market district but it is
actually built around – and
even partly under – a busy
overground rail line with
adjoining station, so sound
damping was paramount
in every element, according
to Pioneer’s Commercial
Manager, William Du
Plooy:

specialist day and night survey
of vibration and noise from
both rail and road traffic as
well as the thousands of visitors
every day to the famous street
market. One of the report’s
findings was that the level of
noise, especially from road
and rail demanded specialist
construction and materials and
this included the windows.”
The development, of seven
residential, three retail and
one office unit, by Jaydan
Construction for Charles James
Developments, was completed
in March.
