Compact machine for
versatile profile machining
elumatec has unveiled its SBZ 137, an all new
compact four-axis profile machining centre
for aluminium and PVC profiles.
The SBZ 137, with its innovative, patented
machine concept, features a machine table that is
tilted towards the operator and an extremely fast
ring module with a powerful spindle.
The machine table is tilted 30 degrees to enable
the operator to work in an ergonomic position.
The machine can then be loaded from an upright
position, thus reducing potential back strain.
Another advantage of the inclined bed is that it
gives the operator a very clear view of the SBZ
137 in all machining positions.
Machining times are substantially shortened
thanks to the ring module, which can run at a
speed of up to 150 m/min on the machine bed
for profile machining. All other axes also reach
their maximum speed very rapidly. The spindle
can move rapidly around the profile, machining
the various surfaces. It’s increased speed comes
from the very small safety gap which reduces its
travel distances.
Cleaning and maintenance of the SBZ 137 is
very simple. Swarf automatically falls off the SBZ
137’s inclined table and can be carried away by
an optional conveyor.
The SBZ 616 is a powerful sawing centre
for both aluminium and plastic profiles. The
machine’s special feed cylinder allows for precise
sawing from below the profile and, thanks to its
generous saw blade diameter (550 mm) the SBZ
616 can easily work on large profiles.
The SBZ 616’s magazine feed can hold up to

9 lengths of profile. This reduces load time and
speeds up the sawing operation as the gripper
collects the required profile from the magazine
without interruption.
The saw’s highly efficient mechanical damping
reduces saw resistance, thus allowing for steady
sawing of multi-chamber profiles with large
cavities. The result is a clean cut and precise
mitering angles.
The Standard version of the SBZ 616 allows for
cutting at 45 and 90 degree angles and the Vario
version gives stepless and freely programmable
cutting at all angles ranging from 22.5 to 157.5
degrees.
elumatec’s SBZ 617 has been acclaimed for
its outstanding versatility for the machining of
PVC window and door profiles including steelreinforced profiles. Using the machine’s rotation
module, the operator can machine all profile
surfaces steplessly at every angle from 0 to 360
degrees. The pivotable rotation module integrates
milling spindles with freely programmable RPM
regulation, as well as powerful geared drilling
motors that can be rotated to the desired angle.
