CUTTING EDGE FLOURISHING
UNDER DECEUNINCK
Cutting Edge UPVC is flourishing after
changing over to Deceuninck’s Heritage
2800 system - with nine foil finishes now
available from stock, and the introduction
of its Traditional 2500 chamfered suite.
The fabricator has undergone a
transformation over the last 18 months
with the move to a new factory and the
appointment of key senior staff, all stimulating
growth. The decision to introduce Deceuninck
as their sole systems supplier earlier this year
has also been one for the longer-term.
With colour a key trend in the UK
market, Cutting Edge has responded with
Deceuninck’s impressive ‘Colour Express’
range of nine stock foil finishes, including
matching trims available to help installers
deliver a premium finish. The range includes
nine of the most popular foils including Irish
Oak, Anthracite Grey, Chartwell Green and
the latest Nut Tree (Mocha) woodgrain, each
backed by a 10 year warranty.
The introduced Traditional 2500
chamfered suite offers customers the option
of a contemporary chamfered finish, as an
alternative to the existing decorative finish
of the 2800 system – each designed to offer
impressive levels of energy efficiency with
either double or triple glazing.

to change suppliers after 22 years,
but Kömmerling has proven to be
the premium brand of choice for

across Europe, with the UK
contributing more than 20% or 88,648 tonnes – to the total
recycled through Recovinyl, the
PVC industry’s recycling scheme,

of the European PVC industry,
which is tackling the sustainability
challenges for PVC and delivery of
current recycling targets to 2020.
Waste PVC-U profiles comprised
50,421 tonnes of the UK’s recycling
effort in 2013.
This profile fraction is equivalent
to the replacement of 3 million
individual frames.
“These latest figures show that
PVC recycling is maintaining
its upward trend, with demand
continuing to grow for good quality
recycled material that can be reused
in a variety of new products,”
comments Project Manager Jane
Gardner of Axion Consulting,
Recovinyl’s UK agents.
